Basking in the Glow of Spring

I'm aware of the time thank you very much, because I can see what is going through your head right now as you start to read this. I know its only 20 minutes past 2 in the afternoon and normally, I would still be napping and dreaming some of the day light hours away on a Thursday afternoon, so that I can become refreshed for all the action tomorrow. I'm wake though and this has something to do with my next door neighbour, who decided that he would began to sort out his garden after the hard winter.

I can already feel Spring bursting into the air and of course he seems to be a passionate gardener.....but still, it would have been nice if he could have waited till after 4 to start his work. Now all I can hear is the sound of a lawnmower and the hedge trimmers, breaking the silence that I was wrapped in before. I've no chance of getting any more sleep now, the air has been to much disturbed with this noise and the smell of grass.

It's a cloudy day today, chance of showers they said on the news, not that this has stopped him from chopping back bushes like he was exploring a jungle.....

That does remind me of the time vampire boyfriend number 3-James Bicker, took me on a trip to the jungle. Everyone was doing it back then, exploring the world and stealing treasure. We visited the Amazon jungle and traveled around on a small wooden boat, that sink twice. I liked James, he told wild, scary stories and knew a lot about the history of different places.

We meet.......maybe three months before that trip at a party hosted by an American vampire. We got on really great and within minutes of being introduced we had drifted off into a corner. A few nights after we meet again at another party, which was being hosted by a human, but since this human was a neighbour of ours it was important to go......

(Hanging out with humans is a really must do thing. though it can be so difficult to keep the human image up and rein the vampire in. It pays off in the end because you can learn a lot from their social gatherings and sometimes there is the need to seek human companionship to remind yourself of what you once were......)

So, when James suddenly came over to me from the other side of the room, we both decided that something was drawing us together and it was at that point that he began courting me. I didn't but up much of a chase, because I already felt so attracted to him and he did go all out to impress me......

We spent many years together, visiting different places and hunting for the best blood, but then during a trip to India, James was attacked by a vampire tiger (don't even get me started on vampire animals!) he was badly wounded and though he spent many months recovering, one night he just let everything go and slipped quietly away.

I was in mourning for years over his death. I have to say that James was one of my greatest loves and I won't ever forget him.....as for the gardening neighbour well......does anyone fancy a little snack before dinner?

It's all in the feet.

I've just been practising my vampire running skills whilst wearing high heel shoes and a short, tight skirt. It's not very practical for such activities I know! But whilst searching for a bit of foreign sport, I was spotted by a slayer and had to make a very fast get away from inside an Italian restaurant. Luckily, enough for me the slayer was about to tuck into a meatball when he looked up and saw me licking my lips at a rather cute Italian male student.

I was also able to control myself to leave the restaurant in a normal human manner! Once outside though and feeling his cold eyes still on me, I decided to run down the street. It seemed like a good thing to do, because I'm sure I heard the door open and him running out, just as I turned the corner. Somehow I manged not to trip, though my heels made such a racket on the pavement, I was sure he could follow that sound alone!

I ducked into a park, which is handy because if he had been close behind me and geared up for killing me, then the darkness of the park would have given us some shelter from human eyes. I'm not sure who would have won that battle. Chances are me, of course and my lady charms! They have never failed me in the past, when I've been faced with such men-including vamps. But you never know with these slayers...they have so many tricks of their own....

I once dated a slayer as a point of interest! I count him and my human boyfriends in a different list to my vampire boys, because its just easier that way. His name was Guy Vincie, 25, an Italian from a picturesque village by the sea. We meet whilst he was still training and I daringly saved him and his tutor from their sinking boat-with a little help from two humans, who were crewing the speedboat I was driving around.

It was sort of a love/hate relationship and mostly that came from Guy. He hated the fact he was madly in love with a vamp, whilst at the same time he enjoyed the thrill of rebelling against what they-the Slayer School-were turning him into. It was a bit of a give and take relationship too.....I found out so much about slayers from him and I barley told him anything about vamps.

Like I said in my other post about vamps and humans having relationships, this was one of those that we both knew straight away, wasn't going to go very far. A few months after we started going out, an old vamp boyfriend of mine got wind of what was going on. He decided to show up at one of those passionate moments and all hell broke loose. I tried so hard to prevent Guy's death, but the slayer instinct inside of him got the better of his senses and I was unable to stop my Ex from ripping his head off.......

My Ex told me later that he thought it would be one of those get-back-together elements, if he killed Guy. But I've more sense then that and clearly less blood lust, because I refused point blank to let him back in my life after that. It was also the last time I dated slayer! It's just too dangerous for a vampire girl to do.

A painful week

Okay, so I know I've not wrote for just over a week now, but you see I've been having computer problems and then last weekend, I went out and normally, I'm fine in the sunshine, but it seems that the British summer time is sneaking upon the country and it caught me out. So now my face and arms have been badly burnt and to my shame I've been hiding ever since.

Then the connection went on my computer, just like that and so I've been trapped without any access to my web pages. I decided to clean my house, which went well enough for the first couple of minutes and then sort of fizzled out.......I can't remember the last time I cleaned, which sounds really bad, but we vamps don't really go out and buy things like humans do, so we really don't have any items. I did dust some paintings and the cute china dogs on my fire place, before giving in and deciding to watch TV instead.

The next day and no Internet. I'd had enough of TV, so instead I wondered over to the bookcase and began to look for a novel to read. My latest book is on loan from a friend and is called My Love Lies Bleeding. So I give that a shot. Few hours later and I was on the last page. I enjoyed it though, another take on vampires.

I had to go out to feed then, so I went out at the height of the night and took little drinks from youths who were up to no good. I felt better after that, but I hurried home and back to my coffin/bed before anyone saw me.

I read more things over the next few nights and watched some DVDs. Then I give in and phoned someone to come and fix my connection. Really I'm no good with those things......but there was a slight problem.....I was very hungry, having not been out in two nights-I was reading a really gripping thriller novel! And he....smelt so good......when he came to and found himself laying on my living room floor, I told him that there had been a gas leak from the house next door. The doctor had been and told me, he'd be okay, just to let him sleep it off.

He didn't believe me, so I used my hypnotize power....sometimes its so handy to be a girl! After that he did fall for it and he fixed my connection and then left. I was slightly worried by what he'd tell people, but I've heard nothing, so he must have just kept his mouth shut.

I've had connection since Friday, but have only just got around to typing this blog! I've been busy on the inter-webs and also hunting, which clearer I still need to do......

Guy Number 8

Last night, I bumped into 'Guy 8'. He (to-date) was my last boyfriend and his name is Josh Hanley. Now-he claims-he's from wales in the 1960's and was only 19 when he got turned. I disagree with that, but I liked the rebel in him. Some how he'd got his hands on a Harley Davidson Motorbike, though he lives in an abandoned farm house in the middle of no where.....
Still though, I liked Wales and we spent many nights cruising on the Harley and chasing local sheep farmers about.......
Image my shock when I bumped into him on the dance floor of my local club!
I knew there were other vampires in the area-most of us can smell each other and are telepathic-but I wasn't expecting him!
Turns out he has a new girl now, a younger and more modern model, he said, laughing....took me a while to work out he meant motorbike not a girlfriend! He said he'd dated a human and then got hungry.....that's why vampire/human dating just doesn't work...the risks are too high! Since me though, he'd had no one else. He said he'd find it hard to uncover another vampiress like me....he tried it on with me then. I refused and left.
Best thing really.....I'm having a break from men right now, I like my space.
We'd been together 4 years though, not my longest relationship, but this is the only one were he's been left alive........None of my other guys have, there's some more stories though.
Beside from Josh, I had a good time out last night and yes, if you're wondering, he is the reason why I'm not out tonight. I thought I'd stay in and watch a movie or something.......seems I'm having computer problems too now. It's time to go.

Thanks for the Fangs

Hi, darlings!

This is my second post and I'm really excited that already I have followers and commits. So tonight, I'm talking about fangs. It's a common fact that nearly all vampires have fangs, which they mostly use to open up poor, innocent, human victims with. Did you know they are also use to threaten and show simple gestures with?

My fangs are retractable, meaning that I can wander around disguised as human because my eye teeth look normal. When I'm ready to take blood, they simply slide down into place. That use to hurt a lot, but I've got use to it now! Also they are self cleaning-very useful for those fast get aways and also so that there is no need to worry about those pearly whites being speckled with red.

In the old days, when Vamps were new on the scene, they use to have massive monster like fangs which were not retractable, but we've developed a lot since then! The 4th vampire man in my life had none-retractable fangs and they were a bit of a pain when kissing. They looked normal at first glance but on close encounter they drew blood as quickly as a sharp pin does! For two years my lips were always chapped and nothing seemed to get them looking nice again....well that was until he had his little accident with a guillotine in France......

I'm hoping to give my fangs some more action tonight. I was out exploring last night, but my refreshing sleep today has put me in a good mood. So I'm hopefully that there are some good clubs around here where I can party hard and then I'll sample some more local blood. Now I just have to decide which dress to wear....black or red? This ice pink one would be better.....

Time I was off now and who knows maybe I might bump into you on the dance floor tonight!

Me!!!!!

Hi, everyone out there in bloggin' world. I'm Megravine De Lacy and I'm sort of new to the 21st century......its a strange, long and complicated story and I'm hoping that I'll be able to record it all here on my blog! This also means that I get a chance to share my amazing life with all you wonderful people out there! I guess I should give you the basics of my life now then.....let see...oh!

Now a days I'm called Meg because really my full name is very old fashioned and I've dropped the De too. I'm Meg Lacy to the public eye now. I'm British and proud to be so. I was born in 1817 in York. I've left most of my past in the dust along with a few ex-lovers and some bloodless corpses, but if you must know I was 'turned' in 1826 at the age of 25.

Now the guy who made me was a dreamboat, he had the most amazing eyes.....he said we could be together forever and that was well...short lived.....I never really meant to chop his head off with that axe....but it was heavy and I broke a nail! So that was guy number 1 dead and I'm just glad he taught me the basics first!

Oh, look at the time, doesn't it go by so fast? Anyway, I might write some more when I get back. I'm off out to catch my tea now and mingle with the evening crowd.

Kisses!
